In my capacity as Founder & President of the Montego Bay RC based in Uganda, an organization driving sporting, cultural and social development spanning the Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan axis, I officially announce our strategic partnership with the Tyson Dream organization.
This alliance marks a historic step for the protection and development of our youth. Tyson Dream is a community organization whose mission is to prevent gun violence and associated trauma, while providing safe spaces.
Our Common Vision
Through this partnership, we are committed to:
- Strengthen community ties and support youth development through sporting, educational and mentoring activities.
- Promote healing and resilience as core values to transform trauma into constructive forces.
- Act before, during and after the crisis via a community, preventive and trauma-informed approach.
- Give a voice to families affected by violence so that their experience becomes an engine for collective change.
A Commitment to the Future
The Montego Bay RC becomes the operational arm of this vision in East Africa. Together, we are working to create a society where prevention is collective, where safety rhymes with dignity, and where the future of every child is worth more than a gun.
We firmly believe that a society where healing is an act of courage is a society capable of building lasting peace.
“Healing is an act of courage. Prevention is an act of love that we show to those we have lost and to those we still protect. »
